I've been a customer of Roesbery for nearly 20 years, at the Danville, Antioch, and Walnut Creek Main Street locations. Yes prices are high. Yes it's wise to shop around, do your homework, etc. Yes they will give you a list of recommended maintenance services you should consider, even if you're just getting an oil change. But my rationale is, one, I only have one car, and I want it running well for as long as possible; and two, as a long-term customer, they have a vested interested in making sure I'm happy since, e.g., we all know how powerful a negative Yelp review can be. Over the years I've called the service managers several times saying this and so just happened, can I come in right now? and received almost immediate attention most recently, the day before a holiday weekend. The lead mechanic at WC is now the only one who works on my car; he brings the parts out to me, shows me underneath what work was needed and what he's doing -- not because I'm an expert but because he knows I want to know what's going on. As another reviewer mentioned, when there's a list of recommended services, they always start with the safety items first. I have met several members of the Roesbery family over the years, including Mike the owner -- I have much respect for their ethics and integrity. I will continue to use them and recommend them to anyone who asks -- and if they aren't a fit for someone, well, no one can please everyone. Thx for reading.
